Cofield further revealed that her sister and mother had just departed from her residence en route to the celebration when she coincidentally encountered the accident on her way home.

The Houston police department reported that the fatal accident occurred when another vehicle collided with the car carrying Brittany and her mother. 

As the investigation is still underway, no charges have been filed thus far. The crash was described as “violent,” resulting in fatal injuries for Brittany and her mother, Sherie.
